Dear Friends,
It may seem a bit early to be fishing for St. Pat's business, but most
predictions show a VERY large turnout for the upcoming (100th annual)
celebration. For this reason, we are selling tickets to The Grotto this year,
and need a little time to get all of our ducks in a row. These tickets will be
fairly high dollar, but they are ALL INCLUSIVE. This means that you buy your
ticket and put your money away. You get a Sweatshirt, a souvenir (plastic) mug,
food, drink, and also includes your tip to the bartender. For legal reasons, we
are not allowed to use terminology like "all you can drink" on the website,
which is why I am clarifying this via e-mail.
We are selling the tickets exclusively online to give everyone an equal chance
at securing one. If you live in Texas, you have the same chance at getting a
ticket as someone who lives in Rolla. The tickets will be sold on a first-come,
first-served basis. WHEN THE TICKETS ARE GONE, THEY ARE GONE! We are selling a
limited number of these tickets to better regulate the chaos. First, it will
help our staff keep up (no cash register to slow them down). Second, no
shutting down the front door, making people wait until others leave to get in.
Third, a set number of tickets means a set number of people, giving you a little
more breathing room, me a little less hair-loss, and the fire marshal no reason
to complain.
Finally, we realize that it is still summertime, but we wanted to give people a
little while to figure out and agree on which night to meet all of their
friends, and to "organize" your St. Pat's a little. So, we are putting these
tickets on sale now but, once again, WHEN THE TICKETS ARE GONE, THEY ARE GONE!
