[mom-news] Re: Triangle Blues Game Outing

Brothers,

Unfortunately, the response to this has been low (4 people, including Paula and myself).  I got some feedback that perhaps the ticket price was too high.  I ought to be able to get tickets for around $35, instead of the $60 I quoted below, especially the larger the group gets.  It would be different seats.

So, in light of this change I am going to hold out for more RSVPs till Friday morning.  Please let me know as soon as possible

If you are declining to attend perhaps you could fire an email back and note why.  It will help me to plan the best, most interesting events going forward.  Some possible reasons might be:

[ ] Not a hockey fan.
[ ] Tickets too pricey.
[ ] Already have plans.
[ ] I tried to call but the phone system didn't work.

Thanks.

Brothers,

Time for me to get off my slacky ass and put together an alumni event.

In the past the fraternity attended a Blues game and it was well received.  We (the Alumni Board) thought it would be fun to do it again.  I know this is late notice, and I apologize for that, but we wanted to squeeze in an event before St. Pat's.

We've picked the date for the game as Saturday, March 1st at 7:30.  I expect tickets to be around $60 per person.

Here's how I'll handle the ticket purchase.  Please RSVP to me (jbuedel@gmail.com 314-753-2940) by Tuesday February 19.  On Wednesday I will purchase the tickets for all the RSVPs I have.

Some of the actives may be coming, and possibly bringing rushees.  If anyone would like to put in a little extra I will see that the money goes towards their tickets.

Look for another email with a meeting location.  We'll meet somewhere close by for few a few beers before the game and do a boat race to determine the best phone system.

In the spirit of last minute plans:  I just got off the phone with da Blues group sales guy.  Obviously, tickets are going and being a weekend game this is a popular one.  As soon as I get 10 reservations I can put down a deposit and secure our tickets.  If you'd like to go please let me know as soon as possible.  If I get enough RSVPs I can do it this afternoon.
